Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke about the northern Greek region of Epirus as one that "can play a leading role in growth, social cohesion, environmental protection and overall quality of life," at the presentation event of the Epirus Development Program 2030 at Ioannina on Wednesday.

"I am very happy that I have the opportunity today to visit a dynamically growing Greek enterprise. This is where, I would say, the heart of productive Greece beats and it makes us truly glad when dynamic Greek businesses feel it is safe to invest, expand, grow and vie for new markets," Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Wednesday, during his visit to the mineral water bottling company Hitos ABEE, his first stop on a tour of the regional unit of Ioannina.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday attended an event for the inauguration of a bypass around the town of Amfilochia, commenting that this will cut journey times for those travelling to Vonitsa, Preveza, Palero and the island of Lefkada by at least 25 minutes. The bypass is on the Aktio-Amvrakia road that connects these areas with the Ionian highway.
