The 22 year old mystery of "Baby Hope," has been reopened by the New York City Police Department (NYPD), who has been able to identify the child's biological mother.
Upon finding the dead body of an unidentified child in Washington Heights, NYC back in 1991, the NYPD gave the child the name "Baby Hope." The remains of the child show that she suffered from malnutrition and was sexually assaulted prior to her death. Her lifeless body was placed inside a cooler, which was discovered on the Henry Hudson Parkway in Washington Heights in July of 1991.
The NYPD recently reopened the case. They handed out flyers in the neighborhood of Washington Heights, hoping someone would recall details of the incident which has never ceased to be a topic amongst the area's residents. This led them to find the victim's mother.
Further inquiries and interrogations are expected to continue, but it is certain that "Baby Hope's" mother will be amongst those called to questioning.
