Senate passes East Med Act

By a vote of 71-23, the Senate plenary voted in favor of the appropriation bill, which includes the entire law "On the Security and Energy Partnership in the Eastern Mediterranean".
The House approved the same bill on Tuesday. President Trump is expected to sign the bill on Friday, along with the defense budget, at a US-based ceremony.
The Senate approved a nearly $1.4 trillion spending deal to keep the government funded and avert a shutdown at the end of the week. Both bills include in their provisions the lifting of the arms embargo on the Republic of Cyprus.
