The omnibus bill on the second set of prior actions Greece needs to fulfil for its bailout loan passed in Parliament early on Friday morning with the votes of the coalition government, while the rest of the parties voted against it.

The critically acclaimed exhibition "Aegean: Creation of an Archipelago" put together by the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest is to open in Chicago's National Hellenic Museum on November 23, where it will remain until August 31, 2016.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and European Parliament President Martin Schulz are due to visit Lesvos island today, which has received more than half of some 600,000 refugees and migrants who have arrived in Greece this year.
