Turkish tanks enter northern Aleppo
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Minutes ago, Turkish Army tanks reportedly crossed the Syrian border to enter the Aleppo Governorate’s northern countryside.
Dozens of these Turkish Army tanks crossed the Syrian border in order to participate in “Operation Euphrates Shield,” which is an offensive to capture the Islamic State stronghold of Jarabulus on the Euphrates River.
The Turkish Army and Free Syrian Army (FSA) have yet to attack the Islamic State forces; however, they are expected to launch their assault shortly.
