- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
According to information from the Cyprus News Agency (CNA), a few hours after Cavusoglu's preposterous statement about a new invasion of Cyprus, the Turkish media on Friday broadcast that Turkish submarine Gür S-357 is moored at the port of Kyrenia.
It should be noted that a few days earlier the Turkish coastguard was also activated to monitor the movements of vessels in the Cypriot EEZ.
A few days earlier, the Turkish submarine was spotted off Kyrenia. The Turkish submarine will accompany the Turkish drilling rigs
The Gür S-357 is one of the more modern submarines of the Turkish Navy, and is armed with both missiles and torpedoes.
The CNA says the Turkish media say the move is at a time when drilling rigs "Fatih" and "Yavuz" continue their activities in the eastern Mediterranean.
