A dinner in honor of leaders and personalities from all over the world was hosted by French President

Emmanuel Macron on Thursday evening at the Louvre Museum.

The dinner was attended by approximately 500 guests, heads of state - among them Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, his wife Mareva Grabovski - Mitsotakis, heads of international organizations and sports bodies.

Among those present were Belgium's King Philip with Queen Mathilde, who arrived with their children, Spain's royal couple Philip VI and Letitia, Princess Anne, Denmark's King Frederik and Queen Mary , as well as Jill Biden, representing the American president, Joe Biden.

Former Prime Minister George Papandreou was among the guests. Although the official list of those attending the opening ceremony has not been released, the French news outlet reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Chinese President Xi Jinping will not attend, while the latter will be represented by Vice President Han Zheng.

Other Europeans expected to attend the opening ceremony include German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Italian President Sergio Mattarella and his Finnish counterpart Alexander Stubb. The closing ceremony will be attended by Douglas Emhoff, husband of the American vice president Kamala Harris, who is now in the race for the White House.
