Πολύ κακή εντύπωση προξένησε ο πρόεδρος των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών, Ντόναλντ Τραμπ, στην εκδήλωση του Λευκού Οίκου για την 25η Μαρτίου 1821, όταν απέφυγε να αναφέρει ότι οι Έλληνες επαναστάτησαν εναντίον της Οθωμανικής Αυτοκρατορίας.
“Σήμερα, γιορτάζουμε τον μακροχρόνιο αγώνα των Ελλήνων για να ανακτήσουν την ανεξαρτησία τους από μια ξένη αυτοκρατορία”, δήλωσε ο πρόεδρος Τραμπ και όσοι άκουσαν τι ακριβώς είπε “πάγωσαν”. Το θέμα πήρε “φωτιά” στα κοινωνικά δίκτυα όταν αναρτήθηκε στο Facebook και στο Twitter.
Στις 25 Μαρτίου 1821, συνέχισε ο Αμερικανός Πρόεδρος, οι Έλληνες πατριώτες εξεγέρθηκαν και αγωνίστηκαν για να απελευθερώσουν τη χώρα τους (Σ.Σ.: από ποιον), να αποκαταστήσουν την εθνική τους κυριαρχία και να καθορίσουν το πεπρωμένου τους.
