A large police operation was launched after the identification and arrest of a person in Athens and the seizure of a large quantity of cannabis of approximately 150 kilograms. This arrest led to police investigations in the village of Vorizia in Messara of Herakleion in Crete.
A symbolic sit in at the office of Thessaloniki mayor Yannis Boutaris was staged by municipal employees, this morning. The sit in was staged as part of the work freeze ordered by municipal employee federation POE-OTA.
As part of the protest, the federation has called for its members to attend a demonstration outside the Ministry of Administrative Reform, followed by a march to the central officers of the Inspectors-Controllers Body for Public Administration (SEEDD).
