Fire in derelict plant kills one
At least one person was killed and a second was taken to hospital in critical condition as a result of a major fire that broke out inside an abandoned factory in Volos, just before 13:00 on Thursday.
EU Commissioner visits NSRF-funded Apivita cosmetics
European Commission Vice-President Jyrki Katainen, responsible for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness visited the plant of the Greek company of natural cosmetics Apivita in Markopoulo, northeast of Athens, as one of the companies that have received NSRF funding.
Varoufakis pounded at Eurogroup meeting
The Eurogroup meeting taking place in Riga, Latvia, concluded on Friday.
Eurogroup chief Jeroen Dijsselbloem said that there are positive signs, but still wide differences to bridge on substance, adding that time is running out and too much time has been lost. Dijsselbloem also stated that the responsibility for closing the gap falls primarily on Greece.
