The leading role of Greece in the international effort to find a cure for coronavirus was recognised by the leading US infectious disease specialist, Dr. Anthony Fauci. During a briefing at the Oval Office, Mr Fauci referred to the promising results of clinical trials for remdesivir, saying the tests “pave the way” for a possible cure for the virus.

There are two issues for Greek tourism after the lifting of curbs to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, stated Alternate Foreign Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis on Tuesday to MEGA TV.  

The Greek Tourism Conderation (SETE), along with the associations from Germany, Italy and Norway cosigned a letter sent to Thierry Breton, European Commissioner of Internal Market and President of EC Tourism Committee, requesting a package of measures for the immediate support of the sector and the adoption of common health and safety protocols in travel.
