Two lawyers, a police officer, and financial crimes squad (SDOE) official are being charged for ongoing attempted extortion as a profession, accessory to extortion and passive bribery.
Sixteen years after the murder of 35 year old Coast Guardsman Marinos Zapatis, at Sayada, in Thesprotia prefecture, western Greece, a person accused of the crime has been arrested at the Kakavia border station with Albania.
"The troika will return to Athens, after the 9 December Eurogroup," said finance minister Yannis Stournaras after his meeting with the Prime Minister, precipitated by the troika's postponment of next week's visit.
