Extortionist Officials Face Justice

Two lawyers, a police officer, and financial crimes squad (SDOE) official are being charged for ongoing attempted extortion as a profession, accessory to extortion and passive bribery.
The four persons are accused of asking for 400,000 euros from the owner of a pawnshop in order to freeze a check on the store by SDOE that had revealed 16 kilograms of undeclared gold jewelry.
