Defense Minister Panos Kammenos announced his intention to freeze the F-16 upgrade program until the House Commitee meets through a post on twitter in response to a statement by New Democracy MP Dora Bakoyannis on the government's forthcoming agreement with the US to upgrade the F-16.

An unprecedented episode between the Minister of Defense and a senior officer transpired, some time ago, in Panos Kammenos's office at the MoD, with so far unknown consequences, and issues spanning from Greece to Saudi Arabia and the Yemeni war, where 20 million people are trapped in a humanitarian crisis.

The “Parmenion” annual national defence exercise wrapped up on Thursday in eastern Rhodes in the presence of Defence Minister Panos Kammenos, Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis, the chiefs of all branches of the Greek defence forces, and regional administration staff.
