An exhibit focusing on the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution for Independence in 1821 will be inaugurated after the restriction measures for coronavirus are lifted, organizers said, but a 20-minute presentation of it will take place at 19:00 on March 3.

As we are now in the bicentenial anniversary year, the positions, interpretations and views on what the Greek Revolution of 1821 was are multiplying. Some of these many interpretations, have an official and institutional character. In other words, they come from individuals, who have been officially assigned the configuration of the framework, in which the great historical event will be celebrated and marked.

The "Greece 2021" committee, preparing the schedule of events to celebrate Greece's bicentennial of the Greek War of Independence, met on Thursday at the Benaki Museum under the chair of Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki.
