There’s a tough competition but Athens, which has picked up a reputation as having a buzz if still not able to shed its image as grimy and dirty, is among the 20 nominees for Europe’s best destination in 2020.

Italian actress Monica Bellucci will reportedly appear in a theatre in Athens playing the role of Maria Callas in the play “Maria Callas, Lettres et Mémoires” by Tom Volf, which premiered in Paris on November 27.

Two people were fatally injured and a woman wounded on Sunday afternoon at a  tavern in the suburb of Vari when they were shot by persond unknown.
