The City of Athens is making plans to usher in a new decade with a bang, with a live show and fireworks in Syntagma Square. Athens residents and visitors can greet 2020 and bid farewell to 2019 at a spectacle that begins in the city's central square at 22:00 on Tuesday and continues through the night, featuring a magic show, music, dancing, a light show and fireworks display, among others.

The cold mass of Arctic air brought by the cold front 'Zenobia' will continue to affect Greece in the coming days, possibly bringing Attica's first snows at low altitudes before Sunday, the National Observatory of Athens weather service meteo forecast on Friday.
