Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis stressed the importance of Greece’s strong voice in Europe, in an interview with ANT1 TV on Wednesday evening.

Five Greek banks, including four systemic ones, along with the Hellenic Bank Association were fined a total of 41.7 million euros by the Competition Commission on Thursday for concerted practice in interbank systems, and payment and electronic transaction services.

The majority of depositors remain reluctant to use excess liquidity to achieve a high yield, despite the opportunities presented in the current environment of rising interest rates in the Eurozone.
