A two-hour meeting took place on Thursday among current and former migration policy ministers who discussed pressing issues relating to the management of the migration crisis in Greece. 

The government's plan for the decongestion of the islands can't be implemented a la carte, Alternate Foreign Minister responsible for European Afairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis said in an interview with Open TV on Thursday.

Deputy Migration Policy Minister Giorgos Koumoutsakos said that a new 'corridor' of refugee and migrants flows has been formed in the last months between Alexandroupolis and Samothrace, in an interview with the Sunday edition of Kathimerini newspaper.
