The ongoing discussions on the problems of the Greek economy for the last three months and the entailing uncertainty have negative repercussions to growth and public deficit, European Commissioner for Economic Affairs Pierre Moscovici said during the presentation of European Commission's spring economic outlook.

According to latest information by the Italian authorities, 475 passengers were on board the ferry Norman Atlantic, 425 have been rescued, 10 are confirmed dead, and 40 are still missing  among them 32 Greek nationals. The same sources said that a second Greek national is included in the list of the deceased.

Deputy Pavlos Chaikalis, a well known actor by profession, made the revelation during a television show, saying he had a recording of the bribery attempt that he has already submitted to the prosecutor.
