Turkey insists on and awaits the extradition of the 8 soldiers who have fled to Greece "as soon as possible", Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Beqir Bozdag said, as reported by the state news agency Anadolu.

The Supreme Civil and Criminal Court of Greece (Areios Pagos) ruled on Wednesday in favour of the extradition to the United States of the Russian cybercrime suspect, Alexander Vinnik.

Turkish authorities have issued an international arrest warrant for the eight soldiers who fled to Greece with an helicopter after the failed coup attempt in Turkey in July.
