Greek farmers decided on protest actions in January over demands unmet by the Agriculture Ministry, at a meeting held in Nikea, Larissa region, on Sunday.

Greek chefs and farmers have joined forces to promote Greek products, preserve traditions and improve training, while paving the way for the 16th European Gastronomy & Wine Congress to be held at Athen’s Zappeion Megaron on October 19-21.

A protest rally by Greek farmers throughout the country is planned in central Athens on Tuesday afternoon, taking place at Vathy Square at 13:30.
