Larissa has recently constructed "ThesGala" milk vending machines, that supports farmers and have cut out the need for a middleman leading to price reductions, as reported by Reuters.

Cretan farmers and agricultural producers distributed vegetables and fruit for free to motorists at the Afidnes toll booth on the Athens – Thessaloniki national highway. The farmers were reacting to the new bill on Open Air markets and selling from stalls.

Farmers may have been hit in the face with the government's tax measures , but their rally in Athens was relatively uneventful, with more than 4,000 present.
