The name of a young Greek expatriate man has been added to the list of 159 people that are missing after the sudden collapse of a 12-storey building in Miami, Florida.

The first Greek known to have stepped foot into the USA is Theodoros Griego, a sailor who landed on Florida with the Spanish Narváez expedition on April 14, 1528. He died during the expedition, as did most of his companions.

The National Park Service has recently included Tarpon Spring's Greektown on its National Register of Historic Places as a traditional cultural property, according to reports.
