The French Navy has launched its second FDI-class frigate, the Amiral Louzeau, incorporating hull blocks built entirely at Greece's Salamis Shipyards — the first time a Greek facility has manufactured structural components for a foreign military vessel, marking a significant expansion of the Franco-Greek defense partnership.

In 1781, the three-masted frigate Hermione crossed the Atlantic under the orders of the commander Louis-René-Madeleine le Vassor Latouche Treville. Two hundred and thirty-six years later, the sailors of the frigate Latouche-Treville always maintain the historic link between the two ships of the same name, through the same crew spirit and a reenactment of that mission.
