Epaminondas Korkoneas, the policeman who fatally shot 15-year-old Alexis Grigoropoulos in 2008, was found unanimously guilty of premeditated murder by a Court of Appeal in the city of Lamia on Monday, and received a 13-years sentence. 

Damaged sidewalks, burned cars and garbage cans and damage everywhere are the landscape of the neighborhood, a few hours after the episodes that followed the rallies for the anniversary of the murder of Alexandros Grigoropoulos.

Around 1000 anarchists clashed with anti-riot police units in Athens and Thessaloniki,  after a march in memory of the teenager Alexandros Grigoropoulos who was shot dead by a police officer in 2008.
