Ierapetra olive oil sells for 1,020 euros a liter

The olive oil produced by the ancient olive trees of Ierapetra, proved to be "gold" as at an auction held in the Netherlands a few days ago it was sold at the price of 1,020 euros per liter!

Unlooted chamber tomb found in Ierapetra

An unlooted chamber tomb containing a coffin with a well-preserved skeleton of an adult in a flexed position as well as vessels in an excellent state of preservation was excavated in the area of Ierapetra by the Lassithi Ephorate of Antiquities.

Minoan tombs accidentally discovered in Ierapetra

Two clay burial containers called Larnakes, estimated from the Late Minoan era were accidentally discovered at Kentri in Ierapetra in South Crete.
