With the percentage of the population that is expected to complete the vaccination in the first ten days of January reaching 70%, the country is entering the year of the Omicron variant together with the rest of the planet.

The parliament plenary on Friday decided to lift the immunity from prosecution of Democratic Alliance MP Andreas Loverdos and New Democracy (ND) MP Marios Salmas, at the request of the prosecutors investigating the Novartis and arthroscopies cases, respectively.

Parliament, almost unanimously, has decided to lift the immunity of six Golden dawn deputies: Efstathios Boukouras, Giorgos Germenis, Panayotis iliopoulos, Ilias Panayotaros, Ilias Kasidiaris, and Hrysovalantis Alexopoulos.
