The former Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Michalis Kostarakos has warned that Turkey is not bluffing in a piece where he analyses the recent developments in Syria and the Turkish military invasion of the Kurdish-controlled areas in northern Syria.

General Michail Kostarakos has undertaken his new duties as Chairman of the Military Committee of the European Union yesterday taking over from his predecessor Frenchman Lieutenant General Patrick de Rousiers.

The Chief of the Hellenic Armed Forces General Staff General Mihalis Kostarakos was elected new chairman of the EU Military Committee, in a vote among Chiefs of the Armed Forces of Member States of the European Union, held in Brussels, in the framework of the Conference of the Military Committee of the European Union.
