A "dynamic momentum," has developed according to UN special mediator Matthew Nimetz, in an interview with Kathimerini on Sunday, and he is optimistic that a jointly agreed agreement will be reached in cooperation with the international community.

The rally against the use of the term Macedonia in a new name for FYROM will take place in the center of the Greek capital on February 4 at 14:00.

The rally that took place in Thessaloniki on Sunday, against the use of the word Macedonia in the name being discussed for FYROM, came as a shock to the government, as well as opposition parties, and even the Church of Greece, mostly because of participation by perhaps hundreds of theousands of citizens, despite no party involvement.
