Melbourne Greeks take to the streets against FYROM's new name
Members of Melbourne's Hellenic clubs gathered in a meeting organised by the Pan Macedonian Association of Melbourne and Victoria in Clifton Hill last Thursday evening to decide the Greek Community's next actions regarding the 'Macedonia' name dispute.

Greeks rally around the world against use of "Macedonia" in FYROM name
Apart from Thessaloniki, rallies against the use of the name "Macedonia" by FYROM were also carried out in other countries by Greeks of the diaspora. In particular, rallies took place in Melbourne, Stuttgart and London.

Greek Australian abducts 97 year old woman believing she was her dead mother
A Greek Australian woman kidnapped a 97-year-old Greek from a nursing home in Australia because she believed she was her dead mother!
Last Saturday a Melbourne nursing home reported the disappearance of 97-year-old Demetra Pavlopoulou.
