Meeting European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs Pierre Moscovici in Athens on Monday, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras called for a swift completion of processes for deciding specific measures to reduce Greece's debt, according to an announcement issued by the prime minister's press office.

The European Commission does not think that Greece needs to vote for specific contingency measures but for a mechanism outlining how such measures might be taken, European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs Pierre Moscovici told a group of reporters, on Thursday.

The spokeswoman for European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs Pierre Moscovici on Tuesday stressed what she called Greece's strong commitment to implementation of the ongoing programme.
