Getting acquainted with a rich selection of wild mushrooms that grow in the forests of Ioannina, northwestern Greece, and cultivating a taste and love of mushrooms was the aim of a two-day festival held in the region's Zagori district.

The time has come for this year's Mushroom Festival, organized by the Natural History Museum of Meteora and the Mushroom Museum in Kalambaka.
