Greek students from a high school in Crete used a poignant way to voice their protest against the British Museum’s refusal to return the Parthenon sculptures of the Caryatides to Greece during a field trip to the Museum in London.

The President of China Xi Jinping paid a visit to the Acropolis Museum on Tuesday morning, accompanied by the President of the Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos. Around 11.30 the Chinese delegation left Greece.

Following the provocative comments by British Museum director Hartwig Fischer ruling out the return of the Parthenon Marbles after the Greek government demanded open negotiations on the issue, Greece’s Culture and Sports Minister Myrsini Zorba has come back with a response.
