The Greek Federation of Secondary Education State Schools Teachers (OLME) has called its members to strike action in response to the government's decision to reopen secondary schools and return teachers to classrooms on Wednesday.

Minister of Education and Religious Affairs Niki Kerameos announced the following measures for schools:

Syriza leader Alexis Tsipras is concerned about the reopening of all school grades by rolling back coronavirus-related restrictions, party sources said, and called for the opening only of those who need to take final examinations in secondary or tertiary education.
