U.S. State Department Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Amanda Sloat is currently in Athens, where she is scheduled to meet with the current Greek governmental administration and private sector delegates.

The staff of the Greek Embassy in Tripoli along with one-hundred Europeans and Chinese, were securely transported out of Libya this morning, according to the Defense Ministry.

Today, Greek government officials stated that Greece will evacuate its Embassy in Tripoli, and plans to send three vessels to Libya to transport its workers, along with European and Chinese nationals.
