Greek Vessel Transports Tripoli Embassy Staff & Foreign Citizens
The staff of the Greek Embassy in Tripoli along with one-hundred Europeans and Chinese, were securely transported out of Libya this morning, according to the Defense Ministry.
A Greek Navy vessel is heading back to Piraeus, while Athens transferred two more ships to Libya yesterday. The "Salamis" ship is currently carrying 77 Greeks, 12 Cypriots, 7 Belgians, 10 British and 78 Chinese citizens.
The boat is scheduled to arrive in Piraeus tomorrow morning, as stated by the Defense Ministry and reported by Kathimerini. During Libya's Civil War in 2011, Greece evacuated over 10,000 people.
