A few words about Trikeri
Trikeri is a village in the prefecture of Magnesia built on the top of the Fortuna hill at the end of the Magnesia peninsula, east of the entrance to the Pagasitikos gulf.

It is only a short distance from the sea and is served by the port of Agia Kyriaki, which is located just below the settlement. It has been the seat, since 1912, of the homonymous community and since 1967 it has been classified as a protected settlement. Until the 1970s, Trikeri had no land access and communication was done exclusively by sea, from the opposite coast of Magnesia.

Due to the easier access from the sea than from the mountainous and steep inland, it acquired the character of an island and developed shipping in particular. In 1821 it had one of the largest merchant fleets while in the 18th and 19th centuries. there were shipyards that built sailing ships.
