Downpour Floods Patra

Torrential rain swept through Achaia prefecture flooding Patra and the surrounding area, just before dawn.
So far, the fire department has received many calls to pump water from basements in the areas of Agyia, Psarofai, Eglykada, Agios Georgios, and Laggoura.
Two trees were felled by the torrent in Kato Ahayia and another at Kokkinos Mylos.
The downpour also struck Agrinio causing damage to homes and cars, and flooding basements.
Cars were also blocked on the bridge over the Acheloos river.
