Coast guard rescues 237 migrants

Greek coast guard, today, rescued 237 illegal migrants and arrested three traffickers in various incidents among the islands of the eastern Aegean.
A wooden boat standed 93 immigrants on a rocky coast on the area of Agios Georgios, on Symi island, that were quickly rounded up by coast guard officers.
Another 27 migrants on a rubber dinghy with an outboard motor were spotted by a coast guard vessel NE of Agathonisi. The migrants upon seeing the vessel tore the dinghy, which sunk and were collected by the coast guard that set them on shore at Pythagorio, in Samos.
Another 75 migrants were found and collected in three different incidents on Kos.
Finally, 42 migrants were found in the area Vlyhada on Chios by coast guard security bureau personnel, and were taken to hospital for preventative check ups.
