Fire destroys Ptolemaida power plant

The control rooms of the 3rd and 4th units of the Ptolemaida power plant which caught fire on Sunday have been totally destroyed, its operational manager Anestis Kefalas told Greek media today.
The fire started on Sunday morning shortly after 09:30, at the Ptolemaida electrical power station.
"Investigation committees will be set up to assess the damage," he said, adding that there will be no problem with the power supply.
The Kozani Fire Brigade said that 4 fire engines and 13 firemen remain on the scene.
Two people with respiratory problems, had been transferred to the Bodossakio Hospital in Ptolemaida, yesterday.
