Concerns over smog ahead of winter

The scientific community is concerned by the occurrence of pollution from burning materials in fireplaces despite that the onset of winter has yet to come.
The values of microparticles have not reached the dangerous levels of the previous two years, but occurrence of smog in many areas of Athens has become apparent.
What is more troubling is the situation taking shape inside homes, resulting in elevated levels of microparticles inside houses leading to a suffocating environment that can cause tremendous health problems.
