The site Thrillist published the list of 10 hidden paradises of the world, unknown to most people, and among them them is the southern most Greek island, Gavdos.

It is the southernmost border of Europe and is closer to Africa than it is to Athens. With fewer than 50 residents, free camping and naturism, the island attracts campers and naturalists from around the world. It is unknown to the general public is only accessible by boat and most tourists choose the most popular (and closer) Crete. It is also a home for artists and philosophers from throughout Europe.
