Further tragedy: Two Albanian sailors killed towing the Norman Atlantic

Two members of the Albanian team that participated in cooperation with the Italians, in towing the Norman Atlantic to Vlora died during the towing operations on Tuesday morning.

Originally broadcast by Albanian media, from the port of Vlora it was announced that two people were killed in an accident at sea, but the Defense Ministry did not confirm the information. However, later, a defense ministry spokesman in a telephone communication with the Albanian «Time News» confirmed that two people who are not part of the Albanian Navy, had been injured. One fataly and the other is in critical condition. But later, police in Vlora announced that the second injured sailor succumbed.

According to Albanian media, two Albanians sailors hit by a tow cable which fell on them when they were towing. Indeed afterwards, the cable was then caught up in one of the propellers. One died instantly and the other succumbed to his injuries shortly afterwards.
