Most dangerous child pornographer arrested in Patras

The most dangerous child pornography trafficker in Europe, according to US agencies, was arrested in Patras.
The Department of Electronic Crime formed a case file against a 55 year old Greek man, for child pornography. It cooperated for with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The 55 year old was arrested in Patras, through an arrest warrant issued by the Trikala prosecutor, for similar offenses.
More than 12,000 files child pornography material were found on the laptop of the arrested man, who is charged withdistributing child pornography online.
After analyzing digital information material,it was revealed that the 55 year old was visiting various child pornography websites while participating in virtual chat rooms, where he boasted that he had been abusing children. As was also revealed, he sent money to a foreign country through courier as a contribution to pedophile sites.
Additionally, the Department of Electronic Crime was informed by letter from ICE, that the 55 year old, had changed the email address, and had sent to others 39 images of child pornography.
In searches conducted in the home and workplace of the arrested man at Trikala, police found and seized a computer hard drive and a memory card, which were taken to forensic laboratories for further examination, while preliminary material was submitted to the Trikala prosecutor.
