Huge shark awash at Megara

Youngsters seeing a large shark in the shallow beach at Megara could not believe their eyes, yesterday afternoon.

Without hesitating they entered the water to a depth of about 1.5 meters and dragged the shark on the beach, where they another surprise awaited them.

Just as they got the big fish out of the water it spawned young ones! An 18 year old, called her uncle, an amateur fisherman, who rushed to the beach.

The shark had longline hooks from his mouth and apparently in an attempt to break free of the lines and in a state of pregnancy, was carried to the shallows, where it was found by the youths.
