English subtitles at Epidaurus

English subtitles for Epidaurus ancient theater festival events last year went down well with foreign crowds whose enjoyment was maximized through understanding the plays.
This year, there will be subtitles for the following performances:
- July 3-4: National Theatre of Greece – Sotiris Chatzakis “The Trojan Women” by EURIPIDES
- July 10-11: Yiannis Kakleas “The Acharnians” by ARISTOPHANES
- July 17-18: Neos Kosmos Theatre – Vangelis Theodoropoulos «Ajax» by SOPHOCLES
- July 24-25: Japanese Noh Theatre– Michael Marmarinos “Nekyia” performance, which is based on the Book 11 of Homer’s Odyssey, will be presented in Japanese with Greek & English subtitles
- July 31-August 1: National Theatre of Greece – Giannis Bezos “The Ecclesiazusae” (Assemblywomen) by ARISTOPHANES
- August 28-29: Horos Theatre Company – Simos Kakalas “Orestes” by EURIPIDES
Performances begin at 9 p.m.
