ECB increases ELA threshold for Greek banks

The ECB Board met this morning and increased the ELA's threshold for Greek banks.
Even as it became known that the European Central Bank Board will meet again by teleconference whenever needed. According to information from the MNI agency, the increase was to the order of 1.3 billion euros.
On Friday withdrawals, according to bankers estimates, reached 2 billion euros and the ECB increased its ELA by 1.8 bn. euros.
The move was necessary for the proper functioning of the banking system because of the new wave of deposit outflow that began this week.
The head of the Bank of Greece, Yannis Stournaras warned bankers to prepare for a "difficult day" on Tuesday, if the Greek government fails to reach agreement with creditors at the extraordinary summit of the Eurozone today.
