Journalist dies after self immolation

Renowned journalist Elias Frontistis has died after a battle that lasted from Friday to early evening Tuesday.
During the last few days doctors gave a battle to keep the columnist alive after his suicide attempt along the Pyrgos-Olympia National Road, when he set himself on fire.
Having suffered severe burns, the journalist, who for years worked for Patras newspaper "Patris" succumbed. The 78 year old Elias Frontistis was hospitalized in critical condition in a hospital in Athens, where he eventually died from his injuries.
