Grim picture for Greek businesses
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Deterioration of liquidity is awaiting in 2016 for about half the enterprises and 16.5% of SA, Ltd , and listed companies which consider bankrupcy very likely before 2015 expires.
At the same time most companies appreciate they will not be able to meet current obligations.
The findings of the Annual Report Trade presented by the National Confederation of Greek Commerce (ESEE) show that despite the improvement in important indicators such as employment in trade, gloomy picture of past years and pessimism about the future, particularly for small businesses, remains.
According to the report of the ESEE the worsening picture for 2015 is pervasive. For SA and LTD fims deterioration was rapid, with the majority (52.7%) assessing that sales will decline.
Even stronger is the feeling of deterioration in sales for smaller businesses.
